AIDente, developed and operated by Yauheni Chyruk (“we,” “our,” or “us”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
- We do not require you to create an account.
- If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address.
1.2 Usage Data
- We may collect non-identifiable data such as app usage statistics and device type to improve performance.
- Crash and error reports. When the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a diagnostic report through Google Firebase Crashlytics. It contains the device model, operating system version, the sequence of screens and actions leading up to the problem, and a pseudonymous identifier for your installation. It does not contain your meals, weight, or other health information.
- Session recordings. To understand how people use the app and find usability problems, we record a replay of on-screen activity for a small, randomly selected share of sessions (currently about 1 in 10). These recordings show which screens you visited and where you tapped or scrolled. They are processed by Amplitude on our behalf. They do not capture anything you type into password fields, and they are not used to identify you personally or for advertising. Session recording is disabled in debug builds.
- We may use third-party services (e.g., Firebase, Amplitude, Apphud, Apple Analytics, Railway Logs) for analytics and error tracking. These services may collect information such as device identifiers, app interactions, and purchase events.
1.3 Nutrition Data
- Information you input (e.g., food names, weights, or photos) is used only to provide nutritional calculations.
- This data may be processed by third-party services such as OpenAI API to generate calorie and macro results. Data is transmitted securely and not used for other purposes.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and improve app functionality.
- To respond to customer inquiries.
- To analyze app performance, improve user experience, monitor subscriptions, and fix bugs.
- To collect aggregated analytics through third-party services such as Firebase, Amplitude, Apphud, Apple Analytics, and others.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data only in the following cases:
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- With trusted service providers who help us operate the app. The table below lists what each provider receives and why.

4. Advertising and Measurement
Understanding where new users come from. When you install AIDente, we receive limited, non-personal information about which advertising campaign brought you to the App Store, so we can tell which of our marketing efforts work. This comes from Apple’s own attribution service and may include the campaign, ad group, and search keyword. It does not identify you.
Measuring advertising results. When you start a trial or buy a subscription, we tell Meta (Facebook) that a purchase happened, including the amount, currency, and which subscription it was. This lets us measure whether our advertising works.
What we do not do. We do not show ads inside AIDente. We do not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not ask permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, because we do not do so. Information shared with Meta is not linked to a device advertising identifier. Your meals, photos, weight, height, and other health information are never shared with advertising partners and never used for advertising.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Payments for premium features and subscriptions are processed securely through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your payment details.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Storage & Retention
- Nutrition and meal data you enter are stored locally on your device and not uploaded to our servers.
- If you delete the App, your locally stored data is also removed.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
